"How Can I Hear God's Voice?"
Through God's Word
All Scripture is God breathed... 2 Timothy 3:16
Through Other People
...there is safety in having many advisers. Proverbs 11:14
Through God's Audible Voice
Moses, Isaiah, Paul, John all heard God's voice.
Through Internal Prods
...the Holy Spirit will teach you all things... John 14:26
"Is Homosexuality Wrong?"
Jesus died for homosexuals just like He died for me. Christians should love homosexuals, just as God loves them. However, homosexuality is considered sinful by God. The Bible clearly states that God has made a natural order for relationships (one man, one woman, for life). To live contrary to this is sin.
God gave them over to their shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Romans 1:26
"Can I Lose My Salvation?"
There is much debate over this topic. We believe a person who has truly turned from their sin and accepted the forgiveness of God has secure salvation. We also believe a person can exchange that truth and rebel against God's ways. The best advice would be, "...continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling..." Philippians 2:12
If concerned, ask yourself these questions:
"Am I Really a Christian or Just Trying to Stay Out of Hell?"
It's about a relationship with a person, not a prayer.
"Am I Trying to Earn My Salvation?"
You can't earn it. Jesus' work on the cross is enough.
"Is There a Difference Between My Lifestyle and the Lost?"
Christian means Christlike. There should be a distinct difference (light, dark). Many have a head knowledge, but no heart knowledge. Not everynoe who says to Jesus, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 7:21
"How Can I Stay Sexually Pure in a Perverse Society?"
We live in a perverse world. Everything from music to Hardee's commercial draw our attention from sexual purity. David asked the same question many years ago: "How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to God's word." Psalm 119:9 So what does the Bible say? Above all else, guard your heart… Proverbs 4:23 You guard your heart by guarding your senses:
Guard What You See
"I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young [person]. Job 31:1
Help guard other people's hearts by covering the Five B's.
Guard What You Touch
Run away from anything that stimulates youthful lust. 2 Timothy 2:22
Guard What You Hear
...put perverse lips far from you. Proverbs 4:24
“What's Healthy Guy/Girl Interaction Look Like?”
Whether dating or not, here are some rules to live by:
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever... ever be alone!
If you wouldn't do it in front of your mom, don't do it!
No texting after 10p.
Be a good friend. Don't gossip. Don't flirt. Remember...they are your spiritual brother or sister.
"Does The Bible Say Cussing Is Wrong?"
The Bible never says, “Don't say the ‘F’ word, it’s wrong.” That's true. And not true.
Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Ephesians 4:29
Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Ephesians 5:4
